Ordering & Logistics
Logistics is a core part of our service. We manage a diverse fleet and work directly with transport companies to optimize delivery routes, ensuring your materials arrive on time while minimizing fuel and transport costs.
Lead times vary based on the size of the project and the specific gradation of the rock required. Please call us at (815) 791-8377 for a current estimate based on your site’s location.
Calculating material needs depends on the surface area, the desired thickness of the layer, and the specific gravity of the stone. Our expert team can assist you in forecasting these requirements during the bidding or planning phase.
Billing & Procurement
We offer flexible payment options, including:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Checks
- Project Draws
- Credit Terms (subject to approval)
Yes. We encourage contractors to utilize predictive inventory strategies during the fourth quarter to avoid holiday supply surges and year-end price fluctuations. We can work with you to secure and stockpile materials in advance of your project deadlines.
Erosion & Environmental Impact
Because we use highly durable, weather-resistant stones (primarily limestone or granite), our rip rap is designed to provide a lifetime of protection. Its longevity depends on the intensity of wave action and proper initial installation.
In many Florida environments, rip rap is preferred over vertical seawalls because it absorbs wave energy rather than reflecting it. This reduces "scour" (erosion at the base) and provides a more natural habitat for local aquatic life.
